OPC Privacy Impact Assessments

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) conducts Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to identify the potential privacy risks of its new or redesigned programs or services.

Under the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) Directive on Privacy Impact Assessment government departments and agencies must conduct a PIA in a manner that is commensurate with the level of privacy risk identified, before establishing any new or substantially modified program or activity involving personal information.

This page lists the OPC’s PIAs.
