Mr. George Radwanski
Privacy Commissioner of Canada
112 Kent Street
Ottawa, Ontario
K1A 1H3
Dear Mr. Radwanski:
Thank you for your letters of May 6 and 15, 2002, in which you expressed your concerns with section 4.82 of Bill C-55, Public Safety Act 2002. While I am sponsoring this important piece of legislation, I believe the Solicitor General is in the best position to provide the substantive reply to your questions. I have therefore forwarded your letter to my colleague, the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, P.C., M.P., for further response.
Yours sincerely,
Hon. David M. Collenette, P.C., M.P.
cc. Hon Lawrence MacAulay, P.C., M.P.
