Canada’s privacy guardians meet in Fredericton
Ottawa, June 27, 2007 – Privacy Commissioner of Canada Jennifer Stoddart will meet with her provincial and territorial counterparts in Fredericton on June 28th and 29th for their biannual meeting to discuss issues of common concern.
The privacy officials will be releasing a joint position on a key national security initiative with significant implications for the rights of Canadians. A media availability session with commissioners and ombudsmen is scheduled for June 28th.
