The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) is launching a Youth Advisory Council — a space for young people to share their insights, experiences and ideas on the privacy challenges that matter the most to them.

Commissioner Dufresne invites applications to the OPC Youth Advisory Council

Young people need to be part of the conversation about the privacy challenges that matter the most to them. That’s why I am creating a Youth Advisory Council for my Office.

This will be a space for young people to share their experiences and ideas to help us to better understand how issues like social media and artificial intelligence are impacting younger Canadians.

We are looking for people aged 13 to 17 who are passionate about technology, privacy and the digital world to join.

Applicants just need a desire to share experiences and ideas – and to make a difference.
