Memorandums of understanding
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) oversees compliance with federal privacy legislation. Sometimes this work involves collaboration with other federal government institutions and provincial, territorial and international privacy regulators.
In some cases, the OPC has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with these organizations to establish frameworks for consulting, cooperating and sharing relevant information.
