OPC launches new online privacy impact assessment submission form

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) is pleased to announce the launch of a new online privacy impact assessment (PIA) submission form. The new form is accessible on the OPC’s website and provides a simple, secure means for federal institutions to submit PIA information up to Protected B classification.
PIAs are an essential tool to identify and mitigate any risks to privacy. The PIA process strengthens privacy, supports the public interest, and generates trust. The Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) Directive on Privacy Impact Assessment requires that federal institutions submit PIAs to the OPC and TBS.
