Privacy Commissioner of Canada discusses need to prioritize privacy in appearance before House committee

Privacy Commissioner of Canada Philippe Dufresne appeared today before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics (ETHI), to discuss his priorities and the work of his Office to protect and promote privacy in a digital age.
In his remarks, Commissioner Dufresne emphasized the importance of prioritizing privacy, measures taken by his Office to improve efficiency, and the need to modernize Canada’s privacy laws to meet the challenges of today’s data-driven world.
